This Old Town Alexandria Maternity Session was an absolute joy to capture! Amanda and her family are expecting their second baby girl, and it was a privilege to document this special time. The session took place on a warm September day, with just a hint of fall in the air. The trees were still green, but there was a sense that the season was beginning to change.

I’ve known Amanda for a while – she used to work with my husband, so it was wonderful to reconnect through photography. It’s always great to see familiar faces, especially during such a significant moment in their lives.

We started near Founder’s Park and the waterfront of Old Town, two of my favorite spots to shoot.

Then we walked over to some of the cute streets lined with flags and cobblestones roads.

 Amanda looked radiant in her flowing orange dress, and you could just feel the love and excitement this family has for their newest addition. Their daughter, Avalina, completely stole the show! She was full of personality and so sweet during the session. From her smiles to playful moments with her parents, she brought an extra level of joy to the photos.

Old Town Alexandria provided the perfect backdrop for this maternity session. The cobblestone streets and charming historic houses added to the cozy, intimate feel of the photos. The warm light filtering through the trees created a soft glow that enhanced every image.

I’m so excited for Amanda and her family as they prepare to welcome another baby girl! It was an honor to capture these moments for them, and I can’t wait to see their family grow. This session will always hold a special place in my heart, as it was a beautiful mix of old friendships and new beginnings. I can’t wait to document their sweet new additional next month!
