It was such an honor to do my friend’s photos for the arrival of their sweet baby girl, Georgia! Alexandria VA Newborn Photography is my passion. Getting to be a fly on the wall for sweet newborn kisses from big brother, and seeing little tiny baby fingers and toes just melts me. I know these will be images mom and dad can treasure for years to come.

One of my biggest tips for clients doing in-home newborn lifestyle sessions is super simple and easy: get flowers! My friend here is basically a florist and loves arranging flowers! But even if you are not that crafty, picking up a bouquet can really add some color to your session like it does for this one.

Another tip is to coordinate colors. I love how Holly had her husband in a pink shirt, we picked a pink wrap for baby (from my collection), and she had pink throw pillows, flowers, and a blanket. It made it so easy to put Georgia on the couch with the pillows behind her to capture these images.

 

 

I just love how Holly decorated Georgia’s nursery – so, so pretty! In-home sessions are a great way to show off your baby’s nursery and all the hard work you put into bringing baby home. This session has to be one of my favorites. I just feel the love for their sweet kiddos pouring through the images. To get to tell their sweet story means the world to me. I’d love to tell yours too!
