As a newborn photographer, I’ve heard countless stories of infertility struggles from families. Many have persevered through multiple attempts to bring their cherished children into the world. I have a deep affinity for families with such journeys. While all babies are treasures, those born after loss or a long wait hold a special place in their parents’ hearts. The challenges are real; one in four women experiences pregnancy loss, more common than many realize. Each child truly embodies a miracle, and it’s incredibly moving to capture these happy endings.

I feel privileged to have documented such a poignant moment for Evelyn & Ryan during their maternity session.

We selected Boar’s Head Resort in Charlottesville for its stunning blooms and variety of settings. Shooting there was effortless; no additional fees add to the appeal. Though this session took place in Charlottesville while I was based there, the Northern Virginia area offers equally scenic spots for maternity photography.
